Getting Around Martinez

Martinez is easy to get in and out of, which surprises a lot of buyers.

  • Amtrak downtown. The Martinez station is right by the waterfront, close enough to walk to from many downtown homes. Trains run to Sacramento, Oakland, San Jose and beyond. It makes a commute you can read through instead of sitting in traffic.
  • Hwy 4. Heads east to Concord, Pittsburg and Antioch, and west to Hercules and I-80.
  • I-680. Your route south to Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek and the rest of the 680 corridor.
  • Benicia Bridge. Quick access over the water to Benicia, Solano County and the road to Napa.
  • BART. There's no station in town, but Pleasant Hill and North Concord BART are a short drive away, and County Connection buses run there too.
